Robert McMechan is a tax lawyer in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, with a Ph.D. in tax law. He is a co-author and author of nationally and internationally acclaimed tax publications, and has been a tax law course instructor for more than 20 years for the Canadian Bar Association. Robert is an avid long distance runner, having completed 25 marathons, and is also a cyclist, swimmer and triathlete. He organizes and participates in a Canada-U.S. team (“Lickety Splits”) that competes in 200 mile relays in Canada and the U.S. He also plays saxophone in a jazz and blues group directed by his wife Allison of “Allison’s Brain”.
